Book Review: Essential Oils Ancient Medicine

Essential Oils Ancient Medicine is a brand new book I’m excited about, by Dr. Josh Axe, Jordan Rubin and Ty Bollinger. Dr. Josh Axe is a certified doctor of natural medicine, doctor of chiropractic and clinical nutritionist at the largest natural health website and author of Eat Dirt. Jordan Rubin is the author of The Maker’s Diet and founder of Garden of Life, Beyond Organic and Get Real Nutrition. Ty Bollinger is a health researcher, film producer of the docu-series The Truth About Cancer: A Global Quest , and New York Times Bestselling Author of The Truth About Cancer: What You Need To Know About Cancer’s History, Prevention, and Treatments.

The use of essential oils spans history. The authors take us all the way back to Creation, even covering 12 oils of the Bible. Then they move us through the historical uses of essential oils arriving at today. The remaining 385 pages contain information about 50 different essential oils, including research, safety and usage pertaining to each. In addition, a section of the book lists essential oils to use by health issue and even suggests supplements to take. The book also includes a section on carrier oils and their uses. Even food and body care recipes are included.

I so love and appreciate this Biblical view of essential oils! As Christians we live in awe of God’s Creation. This is a breath of fresh air from the usual essential oil book that doesn’t credit our Maker.

This book would be great for anyone wanting to learn more about essential oils and how to use them. It is a comprehensive guide to not only teaching you what these essential oils could be used for but how to use them safely. This book would also be great for those who are ready to replace their household cleaners, hand sanitizer, body and hair care products and oral care products.
